How to connect art from panel to panel

When creating designs that continue from the front panel to the back panel, make sure to mirror the image on the back portion to ensure that the transition is seamless.

Art Placement on the Center Front Panel

Due to the way sweaters follow the human body, any graphical elements near the edges of the panels are likely to get visually warped to some extent. This is quite predictable and obvious in the case of sleeves, but less so in the front and back panels. Because of that, when it comes to graphics meant to be placed on front and back panels for straightforward viewing (for example, portraits, or shapes like circles) it is usually a good idea to keep them away from the edges.

As a general rule, try not to extend the art too much outside of the central area, approximately the width of the neck cut. Here is an example of the maximum recommended extent that sensitive graphics can occupy horizontally to avoid warping。

Graphic Alignment from Front to Back

If you want to make sure a graphic element is perfectly aligned centrally on front and back panels you should align everything using the trim areas as reference.

However, horizontal dimensions of some of the trims are odd number of pixels, so some graphics will have to be offset one pixel if the dimensions of the graphics are even. In most cases this is impossibe to notice once the sweater is knit, but in some cases has to be taken into account.
