Here are some additional examples of what is a correctly prepared file and a few examples of what won’t work, but this time the mistakes are mostly impossible to spot just by looking at the images. Try to inspect the images in Photoshop, or upload both versions to the File Format Checker and see what happens:

format check comparison files 01.zip

format check comparison files 02.zip

Stray pixels

Sometimes, a lone pixel is left somewhere on the canvas by mistake. This will be translated into yarn and knit same as any other pixel! It will look like a stain, so check your artwork for such mistakes before uploading the artwork and sending it to the factory.

Barely visible stray blue pixels look like ink stains on the final product. Even though they are barely visible in artwork, each pixel can be clearly seen on the blanket. It can be a bit hard to see depending on the size of your screen; if so, please open the image and inspect it at full size by either double clicking on it or downloading it and opening it in an image editor.

Color Blending

Due to how knitting works (except for the trim, all other parts are made by interweaving all the yarns, so some color mixing is unavoidable), colors might look different on screen than when knit. Because of that, if the contrast between two colors is too low, blending might occur. Sometimes, even color that look distinct on screen might end up looking indistinguishable from one another.
